Cameroon will host from the 1st of June an international exhibition of oil and gas
From the 1st to the 3rd of June 2016, the conference center of Yaoundé will host for a first time a show dedicated to oil and gas Cameroon. The event will bring together international experts in the field of energy and focus on the oil and gas potential of Cameroon, but also on the question of the proper redistribution of income from these resources.
As it is indicated in ‘’Info Cameroon’’, work will be chaired by the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development. In fact, these raw materials in recent years, has become major contributors to the national budget. They constitute more than one fifth and, according to the authorities, deserve special attention.
In this context, it was launched a vast oil exploration project in the Far north region of the country at the end of which the authorities hope to find wells replacement in the Rio Del Ray, the main well of Cameroon since 40 years of operation. Talking about gas, the Ndogpassi and Matanda reserves are the main sources of supply for dozens of food industries in the economic capital. Advanced that wants to consolidate Yaoundé by encouraging foreign companies to prospect in the country.
